Dear Shipmates,

NERA recently held its National Conference outside of Washington, DC. The conference was a success, and it
is always fun to catch up with the ol’ timers. We voted to continue funding the NERA Scholarship Program,
where NERA gives a $2,000 scholarship to five talented students. Debbie Fallon, with the USS Constitution
"Old Ironsides" Chapter, is challenging other NERA Chapters to match their $250.00 donation to the NERA
College Scholarship Program. Jake Kriebel, representing the Delaware Valley Chapter, met this challenge with
a $500 donation right on the spot. Anyone else want to join in this competition?

If you want to be part of NERA’s Scholarship Program or you just want to donate to NERA in general, we will
kindly accept your generosity. NERA is a 501(c)(19) organization, and your contributions are tax deductible
(to the extent allowed by law). Only donate the amount you feel comfortable contributing. If donating is not
an option, consider spreading the word about NERA. Recruiting new members is priceless.
