                  The Appalachian Veterans Memorial Park is a dedicated
                  space for residents, their families, loved-ones, members of
                  the community, and visitors to Meeks Park. Its purpose
                  is to remember those who are serving or have served our
                  nation’s military. The park will be a place of solitude, one
                  of retrospection, and a gathering place for the recognition
                  of  honoring  all  military  branches  and  Veterans  Service
                  Organizations of Appalachia, located at the beautiful
