Change-of-command season continues!

US Coast Guard Air Station Sacramento

SKCS Norma von Dohren, USN (Ret.),President- Gold
Country Chapter, Naval Enlisted Reserve Assn (NERA)
informed us that NERA’s Gold Country was able to
donate the cake for this July 12 Change of Command.
Coast Guard Air Station Sacramento held a change of
command ceremony where Capt. John McCarthy relieved
Capt. Carola List as commanding officer. CAPT Carola
List, in her farewell remarks, thanked the Naval Enlisted
Reserve Association for its support (Christmas events, and
Change of Commands). At right is a picture of the C27-J
aircraft on the donated cake.

40 Years Recognition Plaque for Erie NERA

Navy Activities

In the last Mariner (Spring 2019), EMC(SW) Ray Barber
was our featured Meet the Member. We are pleased to
follow up with his story. Ray and two buddies, MRC
Doug Rogers, MLCS "Andy" Ed Anderson were awarded
plaques for their 40 years of service at their annual Erie
NERA Navy Picnic Saturday, August 11.
